Public health guidance meeting community participation
This programme marked a meaningful stage in CDC’s work with the Aranayaka community. Together with the Administrative Public Health Inspector of Aranayaka and area Public Health Inspectors, the activity focused on guiding families toward better health habits, household cleanliness, and community wellbeing. By bringing official health guidance directly into the community, the programme created a space for open conversation, practical learning, and shared commitment to healthier living.

Why It Matters
Good Health Begins at Home and in the Community
Good health begins at home and within the community. By connecting public health guidance with local participation, programmes like this help families build better habits, protect wellbeing, and strengthen community care. Health awareness is not a one-time event — it builds gradually through trust, conversation, and shared responsibility.
